Mac|Life strikes again!

On Page 30 of In this month's issue (Feb 0 they are talking about Time Machine and they claim that if you have a Firewire drive Time Machine will boot from the backup but not if you have a USB drive.

Wrong on one count and misleading on another!

You cannot boot from a Time Machine backup with Firewire or USB. You can't boot from it at all.

Also, it tends to further the myth that if you have a bootable clone you can only boot from it if it is FW. Not true if you are using an Intel Mac! An Intel Mac can boot from a bootable clone via either FW or USB.

Then they follow that baloney with a six page picture spread of how to turn you broken iPod in to a planter or other worthless items.

Egads, and I am only about a quarter way through the issue. I can hardly wait for what surprises await me in the rest of this rag.
